The Design Process !

Gold Coast Media will provide an initial web design consultation with the prospective client where the client will provide the basic information required for the design. Before this consultation, Gold Coast Media will assess other relevant sites, the level of competition both locally and nationally and the most relevant construction technique. During the consultation process, we will gather information including the clients preferred design, examine existing competition, define the basic web site structure including the likely page headings required and determine the level of optimisation required. We will also determine clear roles and responsibilities for the content of the web site Many of our clients prefer to keep costs lower by providing their own wording and/or digital photography. Other clients allow us full control of a project, especially where competition is significant requiring a higher level of optimisation in the content.

The Web Site Construction Process !

After we have gathered enough information, we then proceed with the web site construction. We allow for clearly defined time constraints and objectives, monetary constraints and design objectives during the initial construction phase and work towards these. The preliminary web site is then presented to the client after being proof read by a third party. This allows us to be sure that the content is grammatically correct before promotion. The client will then be able to request design and content changes for the second draft.

This process continues until the client is happy to sign off the project. At this stage, we will then provide the client a series of options for the web site development and maintenance. These range from a very low priced maintenance package required for the domain name and web space to a continuous web site maintenance and link building package whereby changes are made to a web site and/or additional pages are created and inbound links are acquired to improve search engine rankings.
